Welcome to Scicli.
Ancient cave houses, clinging to the rock walls, are now renovated and enlarged to create a refuge of time, in which one forgets the outside world and immerses oneself in the memory and the stories that easily take shape with the imagination.
This rocky scenario, witness of the long history of Scicli and of its ancient origins, frames the other fragment of history that has dotted the valley of the city with Baroque wonders.
Among these, the Palazzo Beneventano is one of the emblematic examples of Sicilian Baroque, as well as a World Heritage Site. This rises right on the slopes of the San Matteo hill and opens the way to reach the homonymous church, icon of the city.
It is along the first 200 meters that you arrive at the Corvo di Pietra.
Those who arrive at Corvo di Pietra discover the magic of silence, the pleasure of coolness, the scent of lavender and fruit trees that animate the verandas and the garden, an oasis that can be reached with a walk of just one minute from the central square.
The name of this place is a sincere tribute to the story of the same name by Marco Steiner, published by Sellerio, who could write a story of magic, adventure and passion right here, and perhaps only here.
